Annote is a note-taking IOS app based on the concept “ less but better”. The user can create separate folders for shoping lists, to do list or password list and they can lock the folder for data security. Any reminder will come up on the home page and user will get a notification for upcoming reminder.
The client had never worked with a UI designer before, and did not prepare any of UX deliverables. Due to time constraints, client’s requirement was high-fidelity wireframes for few screens so they could discuss the concept with their investors.
I designed 5 high-fidelity wireframes on the basis of Hick’s Law, "More choices isn’t always better, they can confuse users or make it more difficult for users to accomplish tasks or make decisions. I kept three tabs in the navigation bar. One for creating new note, second for viewing the calender and third for viewing all the notes and reminder which was the home screen.
Color Palette
I selected Monochromatic color schemes that are not overwhelming to the eye. I changed the brightness and opacity of the accent colors to highlight a few elements.

New Note
A new note can be created by taping the Add Note icon in the bottom navigation bar. Categories, Title and Description are the mandatory fields. The note can be added to the calendar, reminder can be created, can be pinned to top or can be locked with a password.
Home Screen
Upcoming reminders populate on the top of the screen. Notes can be searched through a quick search option or can be edited from the home screen.
Note Details
Each Note in the home screen opens to a secondary screen with all the subfolders of that note.
Calendar
Calendar can be accessed from the bottom navigation bar. The calendar screen shows all the events scheduled for that day. The reminders can be deleted or edited.
Retrospective
I learned the minimalism concept and use of few but important features in design is useful to users. Sometimes designing within time constraints becomes a bit challenging but I was able to create a pared-down aesthetic for my note-taking app. The design was simple with a crisp interface.
